Ο Ennio υπήρξε υπερδραστήριος στα ’60s – όχι ότι τις επόμενες δεκεαετίες θα χαμήλωνε ταχύτητα.
Είναι η εποχή που χτίζει τον θρύλο του, αποκαλύπτοντας δεξιότητες, εξερευνώντας κινηματογραφικές και μουσικές φόρμες, δείχνοντας ότι δεν επρόκειτο να “τυποποιηθεί” ως συνθέτης των σπαγγέτι – άσχετα αν κάποια απ’ τα scores που έγραψε γι’ αυτά, ανήκουν στις κορυφαίες στιγμές της μουσικής για τον κινηματογράφο.
Ένα πρώτο δείγμα της παραγωγής του της περιόδου έχουμε εδώ, με αποσπάσματα από soundtracks για ιταλικές ταινίες, οι περισσότερες απ’ τις οποίες έκαναν διεθνή καριέρα – κάποιες παίχτηκαν και στην Ελλάδα.
Ennio was overactive in the ’60s – not that over the next decades he would slow down.
It’s the time when he builds his legend, revealing skills, exploring cinematic and musical forms, showing that he wasn’t going to be “labeled” as a spaghetti composer – although some of the scores he wrote about them belong to the top moments of music for cinema.
A first sample of his production of the period we have here, with excerpts from soundtracks for Italian films, some of which made an international career – some were also played in Greece.

My Hubby is a Western Fan, He has collected many of the old Western films over the years especially after they brought them out in CDs, The Good Bad and Ugly, He has a few of the Spaghetti Westerns 🙂 he only watched again at the weekend..
