That was perfect of a smokey summer. I love Morricone’s music.
He’s my number one movie composer, and one of the main reasons I got involved with music [also the reason why I whistle all the time].
Check out my “epic” 6 podcast series tribute after his passing, when you have the time [here’s the link to the prologue https://oannes.gr/ennio-morricone-10-10-1928-6-7-2020/%5D
Your site doesn’t find the link. The “Spagehtti Westerns” came out when I was 7 or 8 years old. I was 10 or 11 when my mom took me and my friends to see “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.” My friends and I all rode horses in those days. We had six-shooters, ponchos, cowboy hats, chaps, and Red Rider BB rifles (fortunately we never shot our eyes out). We played the parts of those movies for hours on end. We all tried to whistle the tunes to varying success. It’s still the wild west out here, but I don’t see kids playing like we used to.
Sounds ideal. That’s how we also played – horses and guns excluded!
Always loved western movies – still enjoy them big time.
