DANNY ELFMAN : VIOLIN CONCERTO

Grave.
Sandy Cameron. Την Royal Scottish National Orchestra διευθύνει ο John Mauceri.

I’ve been a big
Danny Elfman fan, from the moment I saw him with Oingo Boingo in the 1982 film Urgh! A Music War (here) – long before he began his dazzling career as a film composer.
Learning about his release of an album of works in “classical forms” I was sure it would be something special. The result exceeded my expectations.
We hear the amazing first part,
Grave. Animato, from his violin concerto titled ‘Eleven Eleven’.
Sandy Cameron is the soloist.
The Royal Scottish National Orchestra is conducted by
John Mauceri.
