As a “bonus”, one of his very first recordings ever : ‘Lost in a Whirlpool’ from 1958–59, featuring his teenage friend Frank Zappa – who was far from blameless for Beefheart’s later success. The Captain is on vocals, FZ on solo guitar, and his brother Bobby Zappa on rhythm guitar.
