Θρυλικός για το στιλ του, τις συνεργασίες με διάσημους καλλιτέχνες και φυσικά τους Booker T & The M.G’.s, τη μπάντα της οποίας ηγήθηκε στη διάρκεια των ‘60s (BTJ – organ, piano, Steve Cropper – guitar, Lewis Steinberg / Donald “Duck” Dunn – bass, Al Jackson – drums).
Τον ακούμε σε ένα κομμμάτι από το σόλο άλμπουμ του Evergreen του 1974, και τρία ακόμα με τους MG’s – όλα original συνθέσεις, πλην του τελευταίου.

We hear him on one track from his 1974 solo album Evergreen, and three more with MG’s – all original compositions, except the last one.
