Από ένα από τα λιγότερο γνωστά άλμπουμ των Allman Brothers, κυκλοφορημένο στα middle ‘90s, ακούμε ένα δυνατό blues γραμμένο από τον Dicky Betts.
From one of the lesser known Allman Brothers albums, released in the middle ‘90s, we hear a powerful blues song written by Dicky Betts.
I’ve got to change my way of living
‘Cause trouble’s all that I can see
I gotta change my way of living
Lord, trouble’s all that I can see
My life is in such a mess
There ain’t no one to blame, but me
My good girl tried to tell me
Wouldn’t hear a thing, she said
Lord, my good girl tried to tell me
Wouldn’t hear a lonesome thing, she said
Now she’s taken her things and left me
No place for me to lay my head
Blue, Lord, I’m blue
Raining down on me
I gotta change my way of living
‘Cause the blues is all I see
Blue, Lord I’m blue
Raining down on me
I gotta change my way of living, change my way
The blues is all I see
Now, when your luck runs out
That’s when your friends will run out too
Lord, when your luck runs out
Your fairweather friends will run out too
You’re a very lucky man, Lord
If there is just one who’ll stand by you
Blue, Lord, I’m blue
The blues raining down on me
I gotta change my way of living
‘Cause the blues is all I see

This is one of those bands that I think I don’t know and then realise I know more than I thought (even if it’s not much)… Enjoyable bluesy rock!
Thank you!
I think listening to “Live At Fillmore East” is something someone “owes” to his/herself!
Here are 2 links from previous posts – both tracks from this album

Duly noted!
I’ll turn off my classical that is playing in the office now and turn these babies up. It’s not like I’ll disturb anyone as I’m alone!
Great blues song and I’m sure the lyrics resonate with many…
Sure as hell… Thank you!
Fab! Love The Allman Brothers.
I used to listen to them a lot.
It seems I lost track listening to them and others due to constantly changing formats… from records, to 8 track & cassettes, then CDs. Now, it’s downloading tunes, or YouTube. I basically dislike YouTube.
I still listen to my CDs, and the radio. Sometimes when I’m downstairs in Norm’s world, we listen to his old albums.
OR, I listen to music here.
I’m honored and grateful!
