To Big Generator ηχογραφήθηκε το 1987 από ένα “υβριδικό” crew, συνιστώμενο από ιδρυτικά και νεότερα (περιόδου 90125) μέλη, σε παραγωή Trevor Horn & Trevor Rabin, με τον δεύτερο επίσης σε ρόλο κιθαρίστα και co-vocalist με το Jon Anderson, ενώ πίσω από τα κίμπορντς κάθεται ο “ορίτζιναλ” Tony Kaye. Εδώ συναντάμε ένα από τα αντιπολεμκά τραγούδια του γκρουπ, το διόλου ευκαταφρόνητο ‘Shoot High Aim Low’, το οποίο κι ακούμε. 🟡 🟡 From one of the light representatives of progressive rock (Muse) to one of its flagships. The mid-to-late ’80s represent one of the least explored areas of Yes’s discography. Big Generator was recorded in 1987 by a “hybrid” crew, consisting of founding and newer (90125-era) members, produced by Trevor Horn & Trevor Rabin, with the latter also serving as guitarist and co-vocalist alongside Jon Anderson, while the “original” Tony Kaye sits behind the keyboards. Here we encounter one of the group’s anti-war songs, the far from negligible ‘Shoot High Aim Low’, which we’re listening to.
