Σαν σήμερα, 4 Μαρτίου 1678 γεννήθηκε στη Βενετία ο Αντόνιο Βιβάλντι, ένας από τους σημαντικότερους εκπρόσωπους του ιταλικού μπαρόκ, συνθέτης οργανικής κυρίως μουσικής αλλά και θρησκευτικών έργων και μεγάλου αριθμού από όπερες, το ενδιαφέρον για τις οποίες ανανεώθηκε πρόσφατα.
Από τη συλλογή κονσέρτων του La Stravaganza ακούμε το κονσέρτο Νο 9 σε τρία μέρη. Την ορχήστρα Academy Of Saint Martin In The Fields διευθύνει ο Neville Mariner. Carmel Kaine: βιολί.

On this date, 4 March 1678, Antonio Vivaldi was born in Venice. He is one of the most important representatives of the Italian baroque, composer of organic music but also religious works and a large number of operas, the interest for which was recently renewed.
