Το βροχερό μας ταξίδι συνεχίζεται με μουσική απ’ τα ‘50s : Ένα απόσπασμα αρχικά από το soundtrack του Bernard Herrmann για την ταινία του Nunnally Johnson ‘The Man In The Grey Flannel Suit’, (πρτωτ. Gregory Peck, Jennifer Jones). Και στη συνέχεια (01:19) το περίπου ομώνυμο jazz standard του Eugene Ford, ‘Rain’, από Red Garland Trio και το άλμπουμ τους All Kinds Of Weather του 1959. Στο μπάσο ο Paul Chambers, στα ντραμς ο Art Taylor. 📀 📀 Our rainy journey continues with music from the ’50s: First, an excerpt from Bernard Herrmann’s soundtrack for Nunnally Johnson’s film ‘The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit’ (1956), starring Gregory Peck and Jennifer Jones. And after that the jazz standard, almost of the same name : ‘Rain’, written by Eugene Ford, performed by the Red Garland Trio on their 1959 album All Kinds of Weather. Paul Chambers on bass, Art Taylor on drums.

I don’t think I’ve seen the movie, but I have read the book. Pretty depressing, but rightfully so, I believe.
It is a great movie imho, with a great Gregory Peck on the leading role (big GP fan here!) Melancholic and full of emotion, but not depressing – haven’t read the book so I couldn’t tell.
Just finished ‘The Weight Of Snow And Regret’.
To say that I enjoyed it would be an understatement …I was moved. Answering your final note : you can be sure that the story and the characters found a place in my heart. Not a small, and certainly a warm one.
Thank you so much for letting me know you were moved by The Weight of Snow and Regret, and the characters have found a place in your heart.
You’re welcome – though honestly, I’m the one who should be thanking you!
