The Lords Of The New Church were formed by The Damned guitarist Brian James – having left the band of which he was the exclusive songwriter, and Stiv Bators – vocalist and driving force of the Dead Boys, after their breakup. The group’s life was relatively short, from 1981 to 1989, though longer than one would expect given the founders’ background (a year later, Stiv Bators would turn into a literally dead boy). They released three albums, making their mark on the ‘80s rock scene. The song we hear is from their debut album.
