Ο Βενετσιάνος συνθέτης του μπαρόκ Tomaso Albinoni [1671 – 1751] διάσημος στην εποχή του περισσότερο ως συνθέτης όπερας, είναι σήμερα περισσότερο γνωστός για ένα έργο που, κατά πάσαν πιθανότητα, δεν είναι καν δικό του: ο διακεκριμένος μουσικολόγος του 20ου αιώνα Remo Giazotto [φωτό] δημοσίευσε αρχικά το Adagio σαν άγνωστη παρτιτούρα του Albinoni, για να διεκδικήσει στη συνέχεια την πατρότητα της σύνθεσης.

The Venetian baroque composer Tomaso Albinoni [1671 – 1751] famous in his time mainly as an opera composer, is now best known for a work that is, in all probability, not even his own: the distinguished 20th-century musicologist Remo Giazotto [photo] originally published Adagio as an unknown score of Albinoni, to then claim the fatherhood of the composition.
