Η συγκεκριμένη live εκδοχή του τραγουδιού του Willie Nelson είχε κυκλοφορήσει αρχικά το 2003 ως B-side του single της Norah Jones “Turn Me On”, από το άλμπουμ Come Away with Me. 📀 📀 📀 This particular live version of Willie Nelson’s song was first released in 2003 as the B-side to Norah Jones’s single “Turn Me On,” from the album Come Away with Me. It later appeared in 2009 on the digital EP Deep Cuts, alongside three other older tracks. The “archival” EP received minimal publicity, at least by the standards of Ravi Shankar’s daughter, a multi-platinum star from the very beginning of her career. As a result, the attention this live moment from the House of Blues in Chicago has received feels, in my view, disproportionate to a performance that borders on the spine-chilling.

Crazy, crazy for feeling so lonely
I’m crazy, crazy for feeling so blue
I know, you’d love me as long as you wanted
And then someday you would leave me for somebody new
Worry, why do I let myself worry?
Wondering, what in the world did I do?
Crazy, of thinking that my love could hold you
Oh I’m crazy for tryin’ and crazy for cryin’
And I’m crazy for loving you
Worry, why do I let myself worry?
Wondering, what in the world did I do?
Crazy, of thinking that my love could hold you
Oh I’m crazy for tryin’ and I’m crazy for cryin’
And I’m crazy for loving you
