Το Point Of View είναι το πρώτο σόλο άλμπουμ της Cassandra Wilson, η οποία είναι, τότε ακόμα, μέλος της M-Base, της χαλαρής καλλιτεχνικής κολεκτίβας γύρω από τον Steve Coleman. Ο SC, παραγωγός του άλμπουμ, συμμετέχει στην ηχογράφηση (άλτο σαξόφωνο, κρουστά). Το Love And Ηate, πρώτο κομμάτι που ακούμε, είναι σύνθεση του τρομπονίστα της μπάντας Grachan Moncur III (τα υπόλοιπα μέλη : Jean-Paul Bourelly – κιθάρες Lonnie Plaxico – μπάσο, Mark Johnson – ντραμς). To I’m Waiting είναι σύνθεση της Cassandra. 📀 📀 Point of View is Cassandra Wilson’s first solo album; she was still part of M-Base, the loose artistic collective around the great Steve Coleman. SC, who produced the album, also plays on the recording (alto saxophone, percussion). Love and Hate, the first track we’re listening to, is written by the band’s trombonist, Grachan Moncur III (the other members : Jean-Paul Bourelly – guitars, Lonnie Plaxico – bass, and Mark Johnson – drums). I’m Waiting is written by Cassandra.
