Προσωπική μου προτίμηση από την τελευταία περίοδο του Miles είναι αυτό το άλμπουμ, κυκλοφορία του 1989. Επίσης της ουσίας έργο του συνθέτη & τρομπετίστα Palle Mikkelborg – το είχε γράψει ως φόρο τιμής στον MD, παρουσιάζοντας το στο πλαίσιο της απονομής σ’ αυτόν του Léonie Sonning Music Prize το 1984. Ο Mikkelborg έχει αναλάβει εδώ και την ενορχήστρωση / παραγωγή, με τον Miles σε ρόλο βασικού σολίστα. Ανάμεσα στους μουσικούς που παίζουν στο Aura – διαλέγουμε από αυτό τρία tracks – ξεχωρίζει ο John McLaughlin. It is essentially the work of Danish composer and trumpeter Palle Mikkelborg – he originally wrote it as a tribute to MD, presenting it during the award ceremony for the Léonie Sonning Music Prize that he received in 1984. Mikkelborg also handled the orchestration and production of the album, with Miles in the role of the main soloist. Among the musicians who play on Aura – from which we pick three tracks – John McLaughlin particularly stands out. On the photo, Miles with the composer.
