Ήταν η τρίτη και τελευταία της σειράς Qatsi μετά τα επίσης μνημειώδη Koyaanisqatsi: Life Out of Balance, Powaqqatsi: Life in Transformation. It was the third and final installment in the Qatsi trilogy, following the equally monumental Koyaanisqatsi: Life Out of Balance and Powaqqatsi: Life in Transformation. The sonic protagonist here is Yo-Yo Ma’s cello. Years later, PG would draw upon material from this soundtrack to create his Cello Concerto No. 2 “Naqoyqatsi”.
