1. MARIUS CONSTANT: THE TWILIGHT ZONE, end title – second season 2. RENE GARRINGUEC: STREET MOODS IN JAZZ [“The Fever”]

On this date, 7/2, the French-Romanian composer Marius Constant was born [1925-2004]. He composed a large number of works mainly for the ballet, most of the them commissioned for Roland Petit and Maurice Bejart. He is, however, best known for the theme of Rod Serling’ s The Twilight Zone. Here’s one of its various edits, and with it, music that Rene Garriguenc wrote for an episode of the classic series [“The Fever”]

That is a great theme tune, with percussion very much of its time.

Just fabulous!!! Love this music so much, and I adore the Twilight Zone. I’ve seen many, perhaps all.
I thought “The Fever” was going to be the episode where the sun is getting closer to the earth and everyone is peril. The girl is feverishly hot!!! At the end it switches to her, sleeping on a on a couch. She is very ill, and has a fever. Turns out the sun is actually moving away from earth and everyone is getting sick and freezing to death.
I did look up the episode, “The Fever”. I was wrong. Still, it’s a neat episode!
