THE POLYPHONIC SPREE : SOLDIER GIRL [THE BEGINNING STAGES OF…, 2002]

Το πολυφωνικό, και γενικώς …πολυάνθρωπο γκρουπ του Tim DeLaughter από το Dallas του Texas οφείλει πολλά στην αισθητική των ‘60s και ‘70s. Η οφειλή εξοφλείται με το παραπάνω, όπως ακούμε σε ένα από τα κομμάτια του δισκογραφικού τους ντεμπούτου: οι Polyphonic Spree είναι απ΄τις πλέον ενδιαφέρουσες, πρωτότυπες “φωνές” της νέας χιλιετίας, απ’ την απέναντι όχθη του Ατλαντικού τουλάχιστον.

Tim DeLaughter’s polyphonic and …crowded in general, group from Dallas, Texas, owes much to the ’60s and’ 70s aesthetics.
The debt is repaid, as we hear on one of their record debut’s trucks:
