My Generation [1965], A Quick One [1966], The Who Sell Out [1967], Tommy, [1969] Who’s Next [1971], Quadrophenia [1973]…
On this date, May 19, 1945, Pete Townshend was born: founder, composer- lyricist, guitarist and leading figure of the Who, one of the very few outfits that defined “rock culture”. In addition to an enviable number of timeless masterpieces, Pete Townshend is credited as the man who invented the genre “rock opera” [Tommy, 1969].
I’ve made a podcast from some of The Who‘s albums:
My Generation [1965], A Quick One [1966], The Who Sell Out [1967], Tommy [1969], Who’s Next [1971], Quadrophenia [1973].

That was great! Love the Who, especially love I Can See For Miles.
I actually listened to this last night while drawing, and fell asleep when the podcast finished. LOL!
The WHO were my childhood heroes, along with Alice Cooper. Always felt empowered by the music and the lyrics, and Roger’s voice sounded like a force of nature. It still does.
Thanks!
I discovered Alice, later, and I adore him!
