Never heard this or about it until now. This is very pretty music, not oddity at all…….. or maybe that’s the point?

Well, that’s the title of the Bowie’s song that Mike Garson [a long time Bowie collaborator] rearranged for the piano.
Bowie had the song titled after Kubrick’s 2001 A Space Odyssey, from which it was inspired.
I suppose the song title shows Bowie’s humble feelings about his own response to the breathtakingly magnificent artistic achievement this movie is.
By the way, I have seen Space Odyssey …27 times till now. One of the few things that truly changed my life.

Oh cool! 27 times does win you a passion award!!! I’ve a few faves I’ve seen maybe 10 times. Ahem… shallow movies like Goodfellas, Taxi Driver, My Cousin Vinny and Cadillac Man.
Life changing…. although I’ve only seen it a couple of times “Help” by the Beatles was a life changer in many ways! I was very, very young.
