Jazz is underrated.
…Always was, in terms of crowd attendance – not to mention the artists’ “income”! People supposedly famous because of their albums, spent their entire careers playing in front of 50-100 people.
That’s true. When I lived in Vancouver (in my 20’s) there was a jazz club that I can’t remember the name of. It held about 100 at tables. I heard lots of great jazz there, and some blues, too.
It was too, good to be true. It folded in 2 years.
