That song put a buzz in the old cock. I love fast cars and we have a couple of them. Laurie’s car does 0 to 100 kph in 5 seconds. My car does it in 6 seconds. If you remember “Unsafe at Any Speed” by old Ralphie, I drove an old Chevy Corvair in the 70s with that unstable swing-axle suspension. Sorry to say I never rolled it, but I did turnover our 3 wheeled Cushman scooters many times. Those Cushmans were truly unsafe at any speed. Ralph should have picked on Cushman. Ralph was and is full of shit as is Rachel Carson, Paul Ehrlich, Richard Dawkins, Anthony Fauci, and all the other doomsayers who get their cocks buzzing, and get much more attention than they deserve.
I think that, despite its lyrics, this song is the absolute car race anthem!
Never had a car fast like yours, but I always thought that race driver could very well be my occupation …in another life.
I’ve never raced cars, but I did a lot of motorcycle racing in my teens.
