I agree. I remember a depiction of some of the president’s financial status before and after presidency. With the exception of Trump who lost a serious amount of money, each and every one of them had his fortune multiplied. Above all that charismatic guy, Bill Clinton, who went from 1 to something like 80 million. And of course that mega-asshole, Vice President Al Gore who’s made hundreds of millions on green investments.

Από ότι έχω καταλάβει η “εξειδικευμένη” τοποθέτηση είναι ότι οι κάτοικοι των περιοχών πρέπει να λένε και ευχαριστώ για την εκκένωση …και να μην ξεχνάνε τις μάσκες τους. Πέρα από τα σωματίδια, ΚΑΙ ο ιός καραδοκεί.

It’s amazing how constitutions are only metaphors not meant to be taken literally when they explicitly forbid things the powers the be like on want to force on the people. Yet when it comes the inferences not explicitly spelled out in the constitution, they will argue that they laws and policies the powers that be what to impose are implied and therefore they can force their ill will upon the people.

Like here in the US. The 1st, 2nd, 4th Amendments are quite specific about our rights to freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the right to bear arms, and the right to be secure in ourselves and our properties and protected against unreasonable searches and seizures. The oppressors read the 1st, 2nd and 4th Amendments metaphorically, and conveniently ignore them. On the other hand, there is not a word in the Constitution about education, abortion, protection of antisocial behavior and special interests, etc. yet the powers that be push them as constitutional rights.

The powers that be take the 16th amendment very seriously and quite literally: “The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.” Congress has a right to a portion of everything we own. Since we are taxed by cities, counties, states and the federal government, for every dollar we earn we are taxed a minimum of 4 times. Of course, congressmen and congresswomen manage to enrich themselves while serving the people and confiscating their portion of our property. I find it amazing that so many paupers and failures like Harry Reed and John McCain (two really good examples) who were poor managed to get elected to congress and became millionaires on their $125k/year salaries. I think McCain also married into money, but he still milked the system to enrich himself.
