I’m sure they will start reporting rises in covid cases because of all the people at the Balloon Fiesta. The governess will not like to see hundreds of thousands of people together without having lots of covid cases as a result. So she’ll have the NMDOH make-up cases just to spite the Fiesta organizers.

Governments would love any excuse to deny pensions to retirees. Pensions are a huge liability to governments, unions and big corporations.

I just picked up my media pass for the International Balloon Fiesta that starts on Saturday. There was lots of activity with people setting up tents, and vendors getting ready for the hordes. Few people were wearing masks. Quite refreshing. In past years more than a million people come to Albuquerque for the Balloon Fiesta, and there is normally 300,000 or more people on the field for the balloon launches, balloon glows and the fireworks shows. Is our governess going to have a conniption fit over all those maskless madmen and madwomen? Probably. But I don’t think anyone cares what she thinks these days.
