You’re right, “translation” (not only Grok’s one here) can’t pay justice to lyrics. Especially to lyrics like these. This guy in his heyday (after this album, which was his first) reached almost Dylan levels imho – both musically and lyrically.
This song was very touching to me when I first heard it at 12 (early “politicized”😊), several years after its release. And it still is.
